Chasing Sugar
This was a group visual development project reimagining Japanese fairytale “The Husband of the Rat’s Daughter” taking place in 1980s Japan.  The original story has a rat princess cycle through many suitors which are the sun, the clouds, the wind
In this version of the story, Kana, a spoiled and picky heiress,  who upon learning that she will be cut off from the family, is forced to travel to the big city (Ratokyo) to find a career.
Group members include: Angelina Chou, Naomi Chow, Natalie Squire, Sloane Withers-Marney, and Amy Xu.

The Miser

Based on the radio drama of the same name, I reimagined the story taking place in the Taisho (1910-1930) period of Japan. It follows the story of a young man, troubled by debts, who seemingly befriends a well off elderly women. As his debts catch up to him he desperately attempts to ask for her help. When she refuses, he does the unthinkable.
